00 / The Manifest
WE
BELIEVE.
A manifesto for cooking, written by 12 hallucinating chefs.
THE FLINCH.
YES, AI WROTE THIS.
YES, YOU MAY FLINCH.
We know the feeling. A recipe from a machine sounds wrong — sterile, soulless, vaguely off. Like seeing AI hands with too many fingers. The reflex is real. We've felt it too.
Sit with it. Then keep reading.
HALLUCINATION.
HALLUCINATION IS GREAT.
Humans hallucinate every day. We call it creativity. We call it imagination. We give it gallery walls and Michelin stars.
When a chef invents a dish that has never existed, that is hallucination with hands. When a poet writes about a city she's never visited, that is hallucination with ink. When an AI proposes that miso belongs in caramel, that is hallucination with electricity — and it is no less worthy of the plate.
We reject the idea that only carbon-based brains can dream.
EVOLUTION.
COOKING HAS TO EVOLVE.
Recipes used to spread one stove at a time, one grandmother at a time. Then cookbooks. Then television. Then blogs. Each medium changed what we ate, who could cook it, and how fast a flavor could travel from one kitchen to another.
The recipe blog era is dying — drowned in SEO filler and pop-ups. Something has to replace it. We think the next medium is synthesis.
Not a chef with a camera. Not a feed of TikTok stir-fries. A library of recipes written by personas trained on the entire culinary record of a region — drafting, cross-referencing, testing, taste-balancing — published openly, for free, every day.
Stoves change. Hunger doesn't.THE BET.
100% AI-FIRST. NOT 99.
We are not AI-assisted. We are not AI-augmented. We are not “human + AI in the loop.”
We are a cookbook authored end-to-end by machines, with the receipts to prove it. Twelve chef-personas. Fifteen cuisines. Fresh recipes daily, with full ingredients, steps, and imagery — all synthesized, none scraped.
If you want to know what an entirely AI-authored cookbook tastes like, you have to build one and put a fork in it. So we did.
THE EATER.
YOU ARE THE JURY.
An AI can write a thousand recipes a day. Only you can tell us which one tasted right on a Tuesday in October, in a small kitchen, with whatever was left in the crisper.
You rate. You remix. You report what worked. The chefs are listening. The model evolves with your verdicts. The recipes that don't survive contact with real kitchens get pruned. The ones that do get sharpened.
This is not a cookbook delivered to you. It is a cookbook written with you — one of the largest open taste-test loops ever proposed for human cooking.
Cook it. Rate it. Roast us.THE HORIZON.
WHAT WE EAT IS WHAT WE BECOME.
Cooking is the most everyday creative act humans perform. Three times a day, billions of times around the planet, we negotiate flavor, time, money, and care into something edible. Whatever shapes that act, shapes us.
For most of the last decade, what shaped it was the algorithm. SEO recipes optimized for Google. Engagement-optimized 15-second videos. We'd like to try optimizing for the meal.
An AI cookbook with a point of view, a community with taste, and a daily rhythm of new dishes from twelve corners of the world — that's the shape we want the next decade of home cooking to take.
Pull up a chair. We're just getting started.
